Two routes of the National Blue Trail / part I.

Trail 12 / Dorog-Piliscsaba 18.6 km

Next to the Dorog train station building, we descend to a long underpass under the tracks and cross it to the left. We come out at the edge of the Vilmos Zsigmondy housing estate, from there we continue right, on Munkás road. We walk through Petőfi square, continue on Köztársaság road by the Reformed Church, then leave Dorog on Kesztölci road. Here we climb the embankment of the long-dismantled sand railway. The road from here goes along the embankment, on this we reach the last house of Dorog. At the end of the fence, turn left. We cross the Kenyérmező creek and then reach the shooting range and the dog training field. We reach the edge of the forest, where, in the distance we can see the Kétágú-Mountain. Our road joins Route 117, which bypasses Dorog.

We go left and immediately afterwards turn right and reach Kesztölc. Walking through the village, we soon reach Esztergomi street, from where we turn left after a few hundred meters, with a steady elevation we reach a wide hilltop, from where we continue on to an asphalt strip. Crossing this comes another elevation, which leads to the side of Kétágú-Mountain.  We turn right in the middle of the meadow, going sideways below the Cliffs, then after climbing a smaller spine, we descend to the asphalt road leading to Klastrompuszta.

Arriving in Klastrompuszta, we can certify either with the stamp placed on the gate of Tölgyfa buffet, or by continuing on the blue sign at the junction of Kémény street - Klastrompuszta road with the stamp mounted on the electricity pole.

Attractions in Klastrompuszta include the caves of the cliffs rising above it. It is worth making a short detour to the entrances of the Legény-and the Leány Cave. Going forward, a small hill leads to the next spine. Up there we pass the Szent Péter-fa and then reach the edge of the forest. We descend from the field of Vad-föld to Piliscsév. At the Roman Catholic Church, we turn onto the main street, pass in front of the World War II military cemetery, and where the main road turns right, we turn left. We continue on Temető street, from here we turn left onto Szilvás street. Leaving the village, our road rises on the side of hornbeams, sometimes cutting into the sandy soil to a two-meter depth.

Following the blue sign, at the end of a roughly quarter-hour path, we can see the outskirts of Piliscsaba. The stamp box can be found on a pylon before the crossing of the railway tracks, at the intersection of Wesselényi, Árpád vezér and Kálmán király street.

Trail 13 / Piliscsaba, railway station - Hűvösvölgy, Children's railway terminal 22.4 km

In Piliscsaba, after obtaining the stamp, we walk along Kálmán király street, parallel to the railway line, then reaching Bajcsy-Zsilinszky street and crossing the pedestrian crossing, we turn right. Leaving the railway underpass, we turn left at the intersection after approx. 200 m on to Béla király street. At the first corner turn right and continue on Kinizsi Pál street next to the cemetery. The blue monument sign starts from the western gate of the cemetery, which leads to the tomb of József Horváth, the first one to accomplish the National Blue Trail.

We leave the populated area on Kálvária street, on the Garancsi street side of road 10. This means we basically reached the Buda Hills region: the scene of a more urbanized image of the blue trail. On the outskirts of town to the left we arrive under Kálvária Hill. The ancient tourist sights of Piliscsaba are the Gomba Rock and Ördögoltár, which are definitely worth a detour. We continue in the Kőris Valley, then after the steep climb of the Bükkös trench we reach the edge of the forest at the grassy clearing between Nagy-szénás and Kutya-hegy. In front of the pines standing in the middle of the clearing, we turn left and then reach the always windy top of the Nagy-szénás.

From here our journey runs along the educational trail. We reach a sparse pine forest and then from a barren side we catch a glimpse of Nagykovácsi. We climb down to the edge of the weekend houses on Felső-Zsíros Hill. Our trail joins an asphalt road on which we continue.  Here the blue, yellow and green signs run side by side. After a barrier the asphalt road disappears and, in a few minutes, we reach the clearing of the former tourist house of Zsíros Hill. The trail of the National Blue Trail crosses the meadow. Entering the forest, the Muflon Drinking building will soon appear, here we can certify with a stamp, which is mounted on the fence. We continue our journey on the forest path, heading towards Remete Hill.

The vegetation gradually changes into karst forest by the time we reach the plateau edge. From here we climb down steeply to the Remete-gorge, where we can visit the Remete-cave. At the bottom of the gorge, we reach the houses. We pass in front of the gate of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Máriaremete and at the other end of the park we reach family houses. We descend to Zsíroshegyi road, go along it, and from Restaurant Náncsi néni we go out to Nagy-meadow, from where we cross the Fazekas Hill to reach the terminal of the Széchenyi-hegy Children's Railway in Hűvösvölgy.
