David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet - The Witness Statement and a Vision for the Future

„I am ninety-four years old. I’ve had an extraordinary life; it’s only now that I appreciate how extraordinary.

As a young man, I felt I was out there in the wild, experiencing the untouched natural world – but it was an illusion.   The tragedy of our time is happening all around us, barely noticeable from day to day — the loss of our planet's wild places, its biodiversity.

I have witnessed this decline. A Life on Our Planet is my witness statement, and my vision for the future. It is the story of how we came to make this, our greatest mistake — and how, if we act now, we can yet put it right. We have one final chance to create the perfect home for ourselves and restore the wonderful world we inherited. All we need is the will to do so.

Kriszta D. Tóth: Jöttem, hadd lássalak

Life is a series of decisions and everyone decides for themselves whether to choose their dreams or predictable safety. The protagonist of Kriszta D. Tóth's novel, Bora, also makes her own decisions, which fundamentally determine not only her destiny, but also the lives of her loved ones. But can Bora admit in time, if she has made the wrong decision and can the mistakes be redeemed?

The story of Jöttem, hadd lássalak was inspired by the life of the author's mother, and thus is an incredibly personal confession and farewell. The volume immediately became a success book when it was first printed in 2013 and now published as a new, revised edition, supplemented by the author’s preface.

Gábor Presser: Presser könyve I.

Gábor Presser saw the time has come to talk about how he experienced the "Presser story". The longer or shorter chapters of the story known to so many from Omega (1967) to LGT - mostly through his songs. In the personal biographical book, the known (and unknown) stories of a legendary era take on a new aspect, we can look behind the scenes of the studios, the Vígszínház, and we can read among "friends and foes" about more than 50 years of work. Presser has written one of the most anticipated books of the year that so many would like to receive as a gift.

"I like to write film music, theatrical accompaniment music, but also ballet (...) but there is no way to distract me from songwriting, in the end I always find myself there." This is Gábor Presser, who we know very well. Who writes the song for us and sings to us. But now here’s this book, hundreds of pages of Presser text: memories, notes, insights, mistakes, real events that have happened - or have happened according to the author -, hearsay, visions, documents and pseudo-documents, lyrics, movie short stories, photos, footnotes, maybe even sheet music.

János Háy: Hozott lélek

Every life has one version, the one we live. A book that worked with a brought soul. Men, women, girls, boys all mixed, old and young, came and revealed something of themselves. Many revealed their whole soul, others just a piece of it, the part that pressured the rest of the soul. This became a collection, a museum of brought souls. One where you enter and peek into the collections, you feel you’re there too, there’s a small part of your destiny, in the other part a bigger one, and you recognize your friends, your girlfriends, your parents, your children. This encounter hurts a little, yet you can’t escape watching. You’re like a child who wants to turn away from the scary pictures in a storybook, but looks back right away because you can’t stand not seeing it.
