Following the blue sign, you can tour the gorge in 30-45 minutes; the terrain is nevertheless a real challenge. The steep gorge was formed in the Pilis by the Dera stream, also known as the Kovács stream. Waterfalls and washed-out rocks make the hiking spot irresistible.
Dera gorge tour in the Pilis
If we are planning the excursion in February, aim for the last weekend, when we can explore the Dera Gorge as part of a guided tour.

Route: Dera gorge car park – Dera gorge – Som-hegy chalet – Szántó-nyereg – Klastrom ruins – Pilisszentkereszt– Szent-kút – Dera gorge car park
Meeting location and time: parking lot in front of Dera Gorge (turn left before Pilisszentkereszt), 9:00 a.m.
Participation fee: HUF 2,000/person (which includes the tour guide fee, the unique metal badge and the personal certificate)
