Active in nature parks

The Hungarian Nature Park Association, with the support of Active Hungary, is organizing the Active in Nature Parks event series at 10 locations for the second time, which will last until 7 October 2023.

The purpose of the event is to provide families with a meaningful and active recreation opportunity in many places free of charge, and at the same time to provide the nature park an opportunity to introduce themselves and explore their values.

Thanks to the programs, visitors can experience the gastronomy, culture and natural treasures of each region at all 10 stations.

The mission of the Active in Nature Parks event series is to give an insight into the local values, traditions, food, and natural treasures of the areas encompassed by the nature parks. All of this is done actively, with cycling-, walking- and water tours, as well as other complementary family and children's activities.

Regarding the hiking trails, the organizers are preparing both long and short hikes that are easy for families with small children as well. In addition to getting to know the natural values, at most settlement locations along the way it will be possible to visit a master craftsman or local producer, perhaps the landscape house of the settlement or its landmarks, but there will also be an opportunity to taste the local specialties. In addition, family days are complemented by traditionalists’ performances, children's activities and performances, which complete the already diverse daily program.
