On a fine day in 1862, a farmer came into the shop and András Saxlehner's world was turned upside down. The farmer, a certain József Bayer, complained that he bought land on the southern side of the Dobogó hill in Buda, but the water from the well is not good for anything, it is terribly bitter, his animals do not drink from it, or if they do, it is even worse, because it will give them diarrhea... János Hunyadi's bitter water then became Hungary's most successful export product ever.
