The foundation's leader is Aranka Illésné Áncsán. Aranka worked for 26 years in the Tiszadob Children's Home, 12 of those years as the director of the institution. Through her work, she became the "foster mommy" to thousands of children in state care, including the singer Ibolya Oláh.

The Tűzcsiholó Egyesület supports families where one or both parents grew up in state care. Their mission is to ensure that the children of former state care residents do not end up in state care themselves. Their mentorship activities are versatile.

Currently, they work with approximately 110 families, involving nearly 300 children, mostly in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. 

Over the past few years, they have successfully prevented 19 children from being placed in state care.

The foundation operates the FECSKE Charity Shop in Tiszadob and Tiszadada. The shop provides employment opportunities for women who were formerly in state care and offers high-quality goods at affordable prices to those living in difficult circumstances.
