PHANTOM VISION: NEW EXHIBITION AT THE LIGHT ART MUSEUM

The exhibition delves into the sub-surface layers of perception, the world of sights and unusual experiences that appear behind our closed eyes. Into the deep layers swirling beneath the surface of reality visible to the naked eye: the realm of dream, hallucination, meditative trance, the all-pervasive yet inaudible frequencies, the images that appear behind closed eyelids and the phosphenes that sparkle up in the uncontrolled activity of neural pathways.

UNDERCURRENTS OF PERCEPTION

Phantom Vision uses the latest advances in science and technology to provide insights into brainwave patterns, dreams visualized by artificial intelligence, nature's hidden communication networks, and layers of our reality that go beyond the limits of everyday perception through the works, interactive installations and ever-changing projections of more than 35 international and Hungarian artists.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

The Light Art Museum Budapest is a place for art experiments with light. The Light Art Museum is one of the first exhibition spaces in the world to specialise specifically in the collection, research and display of works of this character. It presents the results of research into the interaction of art, science and technology, and the most diverse fields of research into the creative use of light, in order to create a complex and varied field of interpretation. The works on display in the museum explore the boundaries between imagination and reality, revealing to visitors the aesthetic utopias of the use of light and the most innovative artistic possibilities of the medium.
