The Future of Clean Energy: Without Flexibility, the Renewable Energy Revolution Cannot Deliver
In recent years, Hungary’s renewable energy market has experienced remarkable acceleration. By 2026, however, it is increasingly clear that the next stage of progress depends not merely on building new generation capacity, but on how effectively the system can manage variable production, how flexible the demand side can become, and how rapidly the electricity grid can evolve. The key concepts of this “second phase” are innovation, storage, flexibility, financing, and collaboration.
The landmark challenges of sustainability and the energy transition will take center stage on 26 February at the Hungarian Railway History Park, during the Planet Budapest 2026 Expo and Conference – The Future of Clean Energy event.
