In recent years, many downtown public squares have been renovated, and by the fall of 2019, the new Podmanicky Frigyes tér will be completed. In the square, the Municipality has undergone a complete space redevelopment with the aim of creating a whole new real community space favoured by locals as well as visiting citizens of Budapest and tourists. 

The purpose of the redesign is to ensure that the residents and visitors not only get a well-functioning transit facility, but a real community location that provides a chance to stop and meet. Thanks to the renovation of the green space, the central part of Podmaniczky tér is transforming into a real urban green park.
